Don’t Breathe 3 movie is not yet announced by the Sony Pictures but fans are thrilled to see another sequel to the 2021 psychological horror film of the same name. The first film of the franchise was released in 2016, then a sequel titled Don’t Breathe 2 was released in 2021, and now fans are waiting for the third part of the thriller film.
Fede Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues have written both the films whereas the production is done under Screen Gems, Stage 6 Films, Ghost House Pictures, Good Universe(2016 film), Bad Hombre(2021 film). Let’s find out the details regarding the arrival of third movie.
Will there be a Don’t Breathe 3?
Currently, there is no official news available that can confirm that there will or will not be a third part of Don’t Breathe film. No news is coming from the official site regarding the renewal or cancellation of the film.
Moreover, the creators haven’t uttered a word on their future plans for Don’t Breathe. So, it will be hard to jump onto any conclusion. Either to think that the movie is canceled after a year wait or to think that the movie is under production, both will be clueless.
Don’t Breathe 3 Release Date and Time
No release date has been announced yet by the original directors, writers, and producers but we can expect the film to release sometime in 2026 as last two films are having a huge gap of five years. Following the same pattern, the movie might be released in Aug 2026.
However, we should remember that the sequel after the first film was announced by the creators within the same year of releasing the movie for the first time whereas no announcements have been made this time.
So, there might be chances that a third movie is already cancelled. But still, we can’t say anything until an official news rolls out and if we have to think then why not think positively that a third movie will come out soon around 2023.
Who will Cast in Don’t Breathe 3?
Most of the main characters will return to reprise their roles in Don’t Breathe 3 movie especially the Navy Seal Norman(Stephen Lang) and his adopted daughter Phoenix/Tara(Madelyn Grace) along with some new faces.
We are expecting Stephen Lang’s return because in the post credit scenes when his dog licks his blood soaked hands, his finger seems moving confirming that he can be still alive. Moreover, the directors have discussed that the character of Rocky(played by Jane Levy) might return for third film.
The surgeon(Steffan Rhodri) and Phoenix’s mother(Fiona O’Shaughnessy) will not return to reprise their roles in the upcoming Don’t Breathe film as they were died within the second film.
What will happen in Don’t Breathe 3?
The plotline of upcoming Don’t Breathe can move in any direction. There are infinite possibilities to keep the film rolling.
From returning of Rocky to execute the Blind Man to Tara’s home alone life, the film can progress on any side. It all depends on the writer’s mind what he thinks is important.
Most likely, the third part will be focusing on The Old Man as his existence is a matter of discussion today. He will pick himself up once more and experience another invasion by the blood thirst Detroit man.
Moreover, his daughter will face new challenges while looking for a shelter. Will she able to combat with monsters without his father or she will get crushed by the invaders?
Even though, the girls seem mature but still there are much sinister creatures that she has never seen. Things are going to be fishy and much more intense.
