Capitani is a crime thriller series of Netflix created by Thierry Faber whose story moves around a detective who is hired to investigate a teenage girl’s death case. It looks the normal case to us but his locals with restrained mentality make it more complicated and even detective finds himself in the trap of secrets and lies. Where is Capitani Filmed?
Capitani was filmed in the Junglinster and Bourglinster inside Luxembourg country, Europe. The plot is set in the village of Manscheid in Northern Luxembourg at the same location where the body of a teenage girl was found near the forests.
Luxembourg is a small European country with high cost of living and shares the border with Belgium, France, and Germany. It is mostly rural and filled with dense forests, and Nature parks.
Some scenes were filmed at Lintgen, a small town situated on the banks of Alzette river and Lycée du Nord high school from Wiltz has also been featured in the series. Other places that can be seen in the series are Bridel, Kopstal, and Steinsel.
PLOT
The entire body of a teenage girl is found in the woods near the coastal village of Manscheid, profound from the North of Luxembourg. Luc Capitani, a gruff detective in the South of the nation, is placed in charge of the situation. Having difficulty navigating the closed, communal and protective mindset of the northerners, Capitani finds himself dependent on the assistance of Elsa Ley, a young and intrepid community policewoman. The officers immediately find themselves entangled in a web of lies and secrets.

Capitani is a 12 episode crime-thriller series that starts with an ambulance reaching at the crime scene that is at a construction site where a body has been unearthed and wrapped in a rug. Detective Luc Capitani is assigned to investigate the case but he doesn’t belong to the place so he needs to take help of local police(Elsa Ley as policewoman, Sophie Mousel) and villagers to know more details.
In the ending, we saw Detective Capitani(Luc Schiltz) concludes that the victim girl committed suicide because his team found drugs on her. But soon he uncovers a layer of secrets that turned the case upside down where all the team members are giving their opinions and telling a different story.
Actually, teenager (played by Jil Devresse) has a twin sister Tanya(also played by Jil) which is also missing. Later on police finds her but this twin sister refused to help police. If you go in the flashback, Capitani was also looking for a body wearing a pair binoculars that indicates he is on a personal mission but when you look at police woman Elsa Hey, she is very much interesting.
Probably, this is because Luc was not raised like his partner. That’s why he is always annoyed or angered on anything and everyone. This is the reason he is good at forcing people to tell the truth but difficult to sympathize. manscheid capitani location
