Review

Flamin Hot starts slow, we are shown the early life of Richard as a teenager. The man was born in a labor camp in Los Angeles, grew up with hardships, and has fight for his whole life.

Being born to Mexican parents, he has a strict father who cared about discipline in life but the moment that made our heart smile was the unstinted support of his grandfather who love him so much.

However, things didn’t work out like grandpa had imagined. Richard chose a life of crime and become underground with his wife Judy but when she gets pregnant, he decides to leave the underworld and pursue an ethical career.

He gets a job at Frito Lay with the help of his childhood friend Tony Romero and learns the engineering from Clarence C Baker. There he gets an idea to save Frito Lay by targeting the Latino market.

After facing some initial setbacks (quite obvious), Richard manages to convince that time CEO Roger Enrico to promote his new flavored Cheetos. Boom, that was a success.

The movie has explained in a clear way and it tells you the complete story until Richard’s retirement after 45 years of his service.

Where is Richard Montanez now?

Richard is happily living with his wife Judy in 2023 and the couple has three sons, two of them Lucky and Steven are also shown in the movie.
