Gypsy Rose Blanchard is an American movie artist. She killed her mother Dee Dee in 2015 with her boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn. However, there was no witness at that time. She was imprisoned till 2028 but as per latest information, she’s been released from the prison in Dec 2023.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard was interviewed by Dr. Phil. Gypsy’s relationship with her mother wasn’t always a bad one. As a child, she was well-behaved and polite, and the two had a close relationship. They were described as being inseparable. Gypsy’s friends recalled how Dee Dee Blanchard was a good mother who helped her daughter with her homework and taught her about kindness and compassion.
However, that began to change when Dee Dee’s father died. Gypsy said her mother started to become controlling, and her own mother Dee Dee said her daughter’s personality changed after her father passed away. Dee Dee began to isolate Gypsy Blanchard from her friends and family and, in 2009, she forced her daughter to take medication that rendered her unconscious.
In 2010, Gypsy met a boy named Nicholas Godejohn online. They began a relationship and, over time, the two would become closer. Godejohn said he wanted to help Gypsy leave her mother. In 2015, Godejohn drove from his home in Wisconsin to Springfield, Missouri, where he stabbed Dee Dee Blanchard to death. Godejohn was later arrested in Wisconsin and, in 2016, he was found guilty of first-degree murder.
