Netflix’s sweet tooth is one of the post-apocalyptic drama series that highlights a time where humans are giving birth to hybrid babies but not sure why this is happening. Most of the people assume this is because of virus and started hunting them. A young boy named Gus with deer features is living peacefully with his father in the forests. One day, his father tells about the world outside deep woods and now Gus wants to see the outside world. But the place is very different from the place he ever imagined.

Sweet Tooth was filmed in Auckland, South Island, and Queenstown inside New Zealand Country. The filming began in July 2020 and interrupted by a spike in Covid-19 cases after few weeks then resumed in September 2020 and finally the shooting finished in December 2020.

Why was it filmed in New Zealand?

Many of the NZ and Australian actors are also casting in the film as Mia Artemis, who plays Tiger, Sarah Peirse, who plays Dr. Bell in the series. Another reason to shoot the film inside New Zealand was that it was the only country to have less number of Covid-19 cases and the production team granted access in July 2020.
