Lost in Space is an American sci-fi TV series whose story moves around the family of space colonists whose spaceship gets distracted from their safe path when an alien robot breaches the security system. Is there a season 3 of Lost in Space? When will Lost in Space Season 3 release?
Lost in Space will be returning for a third season in 2021 according to Netflix. This will be the final season of the series with a total of 10 episodes, each with an average running time of 50 minutes. Each episode will be available to stream on Netflix like the previous two seasons.
Avid fans of the series are worried that their favorite sci-fi show ends with the third installment and wondering why is it getting cancelled after third season. The main reason why Lost in Space was cancelled is it’s high production cost that is around $130,980 per episode in the first season, $164,788 in the second season, and in the third season the budget was nearly doubled. And that was for the 1965-68 version, the latest 2018-21 series is far more expensive. The evidence is enough to make sure that there will be no season 4 of Lost in Space in future. Don’t be worried, you can watch Titans season 3 that is streaming now.

What to expect from Lost in Space Season 3?
Season 2 ended with a big thing: the kids and parents parted their ways. Zach Estrin has to say that Lost in Space season 3 will pick up with two separate stories. The question is who will guide the way home first, kids or parents? It was really painful for children and parents as well to separate in such a perilous planet where hungry animals are waiting for them at every point. Sharpless said that the writers were inspired from the original series and it happens when refugees and kids who are going on a long journey together across borders has to say goodbye to each other at some point of time.
Moreover, you will find strong women in the season finale that will inspire everyone and ends the series in a meaningful way. Those who are worrying about the deaths of any character, the series has a firm and happy ending. The last episode of season 2 also ignited a spark of hope that June Harris’s father is still alive and stuck in space for more than 20 years.

I don’t think there’s hope June’s father is still alive after 20 years of being wrecked there. At least not unless time travel is involved. I do think they will find out what happened to him though at least. Although if they have a stasis pod of some sort – which I don’t think we’ve seen in the series? Then perhaps he could be asleep all this time?
