He reminds her of who they used to be and insists that he hasn’t changed. But Riza isn’t convinced. And indeed, she alludes to someone who’s warned her about Adam… and that warning seems stuck. From the jump, you can tell Adam is out of his league, and one misstep here could be disastrous.
Matt’s Shadow Controls the Game
Even when he’s not always on-screen, Matt is everywhere. Riza’s behavior all but makes it clear that she’s acting under his direction, or at least deeply influenced by him. And there’s a personal connection between the two that makes things even more complicated and puts Adam’s situation in even greater jeopardy. If Riza is on Matt’s side, not only does Adam face mistrust – he’s stepping directly into a meticulously calculated trap.

Sharon is quickly summoned to see Christine, the subject swiftly turning to Mariah’s deteriorating condition. Mariah now has a court date to face, and frankly, she isn’t doing too well mentally or emotionally.
The guilt she feels over anything that pertains to Dominic is obviously weighing on her. She’s self-pitying, ashamed and not thinking straight, something that could be very bad for her case. Christine thinks Sharon may be the only one who can reach her before it’s too late.
A Make-or-Break Moment for Mariah
Christine lays out an important legal strategy, but it all comes down to one thing: Mariah staying the course on her current plea.If all goes as planned, Mariah might get treated in a mental health facility instead of suffering much more severe penalties.
But that outcome is fragile. If Mariah allows her feelings to overwhelm her and changes her plea, the entire plan could fall apart. That’s where Sharon comes in.
This isn’t merely a discussion, this is an inflection point. Sharon has to get past Mariah’s emotional barriers and make her believe in the process. With time ticking away, the stakes couldn’t be higher.
