The Young and the Restless Recap (March 26): Victor Shocks Lily, Jack Declares War & Diane Faces Explosive Showdown

Today, Thursday March 26, 2026 on The Young and the Restless Genoa City was all over it when it came to the drama. From big power plays to emotional reckonings, the episode gave us a perfect cocktail of tension, heartbreak and twist.

Let’s break eveything that went down.

Victor Throws Lily Off Balance

At the Newman ranch, Victor Newman proved once again why he’s always ten steps ahead. He summoned Lily Winters, who walked in believing her ordeal was finally behind her.

Lily was hopeful, ready to return to a peaceful life with her twins and move forward. Naturally, that hope didn’t last long.

When she asked Victor if he had regained control of his company and planned to hand over Chancellor as promised, Victor stayed vague.

Instead of offering her the closure she expected, he suggested something else entirely. Lily’s expression said it all: confusion, frustration and the dread realization that she’s still completely caught up in Victor’s web.

Jack and Kyle Grapple With the Truth

At the Abbott mansion, Jack Abbott attempted to explain himself to Kyle Abbott after his shocking night with Patty Williams.

Jack maintained that he had been drugged and blamed Victor, saying it was all part of some calculated setup. Not only was he hurt — he was angry as hell and looking for a comeuppance.

Kyle, visibly shaken, was left to reconcile the disbelief with his loyalty. In the end, family won out. He supported his father but urged him to concentrate on the damage done with Diane Jenkins Abbott. Still, Kyle clung to the hope that Diane would one day be able to forgive Jack.

Diane Faces Off With Patty

Meanwhile, things took a turn for the explosive at the GCAC when Patty and Diane came face-to-face – and we don’t mean that in a good way.

Patty figuratively struck before the iron was even hot, taking shots at Diane’s character, and insinuating that her marriage had fallen apart. Diane, however, didn’t back down. My girl came back with a vengeance, calling Patty delusional and doubting anything she was saying.

Things only got tenser when Nikki Newman arrived and was shocked to see Patty on the loose.

When Patty left, Nikki and Diane tried to talk it out, but they made things so uncomfortable in short order. She ducked questions about Jack, making it clear that the wounds in her marriage are still very fresh – and far from healed.

Kyle later arrived and again blamed Victor for the mess. He urged Diane to give Jack some time, but she wouldn’t budge. In her view, some lines can’t be uncrossed.

Jack Confronts Victor

Seething with rage, Jack headed straight to the Newman ranch to take Victor on.

He didn’t pull any punches, letting everyone know he was up for a tussle. Victor, the cool image of himself as always, denied having anything to do with it. But Jack wasn’t buying it. He had warned everyone before storming off, leaving the tension heavy in the air.

By the time Jack returned to his own home, he was still shaken by the experience as he confided in Nikki and Traci Abbott. That’s when Nikki hit her own bombshell — she was no longer living at the ranch, meaning that the rift between her and Victor was all the wider.

Mariah’s Emotional Turning Point

Better yet, Mariah Copeland made big strides on a more emotional front.

She told Sharon Newman and Christine Blair at Crimson Lights that she had accepted a plea deal – something only done after Tessa Porter talked her into it.

Sharon and Christine both were some relieved, hoping that this decision will bring peace to Mariah.

After a tender moment with Tessa, Mariah went to where the judge signed off on the deal in private. But rather than feel relief, Mariah came back in a state of conflict. She said she was battling guilt, whether or not she deserved this result.”

Tessa came in with unconditional love, assuring her that who she is isn’t dictated by her actions and vowing to support her through the process of healing.

A Quiet Moment for Daniel

And Daniel Romalotti Jr. got to hang out with Tessa in a quiet, contemplative scene. The two reminisced about their history, reflecting on the feelings they still had that led them to step into the future.

This was a small but significant moment – one that captured the fact that amidst all this chaos, growth and some closure can occur.

Final Thoughts

Today’s episode struck a nice balance between high-stakes drama and some emotional depth. Victor is never not pulling strings, Jack is inching closer to war and relationships throughout Genoa City are being tested like never before.

And if this episode showed anything, it’s that the calm doesn’t last long in Genoa City.
