The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 was officially announced at 2020’s virtual Crunchyroll expo, one year after season 1 premiered. Takao Abo has directed the first season of this dark fantasy another world anime series that is originally written by Aneko Yusagi as a light novel.
Kinema Citrus studios was in charge of the production while the character designing for the Seira Minami’s illustrations was done by Masahiro Suwa and music was given by Kevin Penkin. The isekai anime is licensed under Crunchyroll-Funimation partnership in North America while AT-X, Tokyo MX, SUN, TVA, KBS, TVQ, and BS11 remains the original streaming networks in Japan.
The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 Release Date
The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 was originally planned to release in October 2021 but pushed back to 2022. Now, season 2 of the series will start airing from 22 April 2022 inside Japan. No episode count is officially confirmed but we can expect the new season to have 25 episodes in total like the first season.

Masato Jinbo is directing the second season replacing Takao Abon while the visual production is done by DR Movie Studio and Kinema Citrus with rest of the cast members reprising their roles. At the 2019 expo, season 2 and 3 were confirmed so there will be one more season aligned to release next year.

English dubbed and subbed version of all the 25 episodes are available on the streaming network and the upcoming seasons will also released on the same platform.

Even though, his fellow sword friends tease him but he is still grateful that the place is full of lolicons but things turn bad when he is regarded as the rapist and the hero guy left with no money and respect. On that day, he decides to protect his villagers and fulfil his destiny, the rest is history.
Shield Hero Season 2 Spoilers
Season 2 will take us back to the mysteries of the book that Naofumi originally found before being transported to a new world. We also meet the king in a courtroom and there is a great story that also features this character. Along with main protagonist Naofumi, we will see Raphtalia and Filo meeting with new friends and enemies. There will be a giant turtle who is capable of carrying a whole town on his back. Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari Season 2 new visual and trailer has been released recently which highlights the meeting of main protagonist with other good warriors. However, our hero will take his time to trust someone and eventually fall in love with a female warrior.
Does Naofumi fall in love with Raphtalia?
Naofumi fall in love with Raphtalia because she reflected her past in an adultlike manner and prove herself to be the top tier SSS+ Waifu. Before that, Naifumi saw Raphtalia as a small child and compared herself as daughter.
